When clients first come to our Arizona residential drug and alcohol rehab center, Terra Nova Behavioral Health, they enter our full-time residential living facility. In this safe, comfortable environment we can provide around-the-clock, medically-supervised treatment programs. Residential living allows us to conduct the full medical assessments, lab work, psychiatric assessments, and therapeutic evaluations needed to create individualized treatment programs. When you decide to come to our residential living facility, you will receive specialized attention from our expert clinical support staff. This is where your healing will begin.
Especially if someone’s substance use disorder is severe, it is best that they be surrounded by support and assistance as they progress along the way to long-term recovery.

Our PHP patients spend about 30 days in therapy groups that meet several times a day. This provides structured and focused treatment, and then clients return to the sober living facility at night. Not only does this give clients a safe and ordered environment in which they can deal with many underlying issues, but it also gives them an adequate amount of time to readjust before reintegrating into regular, day-to-day life. By going through intensive group and individual therapy in the PHP program, many clients are often more successful in avoiding relapse at a time when they are most vulnerable to cravings.

While attending IOP, clients continue to live at the Terra Nova residence and attend group and individual therapy for half the day. The rest of the day is spent working or finding a job, going to school, going to 12-step meetings*, or participating in other recovery activities that help prepare for life outside our facility. Our IOP allows patients to begin the move to everyday activities while still receiving treatment, valuable support, and individualized help and attention. Generally, clients spend about 45 days in IOP as they prepare for the transition to aftercare.
